Oops sorry!! I am a recent active member so I guess I am not aware of the older posts .. there may be some kolams which could be repeated and I am not aware of it.. this having been said... I saw your kolam from the link you have sent ... I must say natural beautiful cannot be compared with artificial ones... your kolam is wonderful ... it is easier to display things using computer but I know how hard it is to actually put these on the floor... I used to when I was in my parents house... now in the flat that I stay all these kolams cannot be put with the small space available ... anyway thanks for reminding me....
Pushpa the black and red pinwheels look so cute... Nice attempt... The only drawback is the background colour does not gel with the kolam - try a contrast background next time :)
Pushpaji, nice flowery rangoli! I would say that you've progressed at a faster pace from making beginner level rangolis to advanced level ones! One of these days, I'm hoping you would try coloring a couple of your rangolis with lighter shades or pastel colors, if it is okay with you. :)
Also wanted to mention that, it is alright to try any kolam you like, your own or someone else's. You see, even if you do try someone else's, it is going to be your version of the same design. Many of us have tried it both in real life, and also in this site. There are too many (ikolam site) links to list here for you to look at. In your spare time, you could go through others gallery folders, and get an idea. :)
Thanks everyone... Judy ma'am to answer your question regarding the background... I tried different background with all the colors available and I felt this suited it the best ... Anyways will keep in mind regarding sober colors henceforth lata ma'am and judy ma'am..
