Good attempt! You can use kavi both inside as well as outside to enhance the design. Go through many kolams of this site. You will get an idea!

Kalpu, very nice padikolam, go through the gallery of Rajamma maam, Jaya maam, and see for padikolams they have put with kaavi or color, u will get an idea dear.... but it is left up to ur own imagination how u use them
Nice padikolam n neatly executed....
This has come out very beautiful and looks neat also:)
cute one
oh.. so nice of u all... thanks to all for ur lovery comments... feeling so warmth.. and ya, next time will try a padi kolam wit kavvi wit ur tips ... nithya... really i got improved ehh??? oh thankx.. the broad strokes are not intensively done.. for me thin strokes doesnt cum so perfect... thanks rani ji...
Your double strokes look very good Kalpu - you seem to be an expert at that. This padikolam looks good for a first try and as all said you can use kaavi at an outline either outside or inside a line or section. One thing I thought Rajam or Jaya will point out is that when you draw padikolams you should always use even number of lines - never use 3 or 5 lines etc.
aunty.. is it so?? tat 3 lines shouldnot be done ehh.. i dono,... next time i wil get it corrected...
cute and sweet
