Nice rangoli and description given is informative. I too have a vilakku in Brass similar to this pattern which we use for karthigai. It is a tradition for us to give this and pavai vilakku to daughters during their wedding, so i too got this from my parents for my marraige. Very nice.
Quite a nice pattern. The elephant is majestic indeed. May I request you to give more details about the origin of this? How is the antiquity of 2400 years traced? With the recent tragedy, makaraviLakku has been dimmed.
