Lata, very nice knot and thank you for your wishes and we also wish You and Mani Sir, and the kids the same! (after seeing this, i realised that i am also wearing a green saree)!
This is a very beautiful work. Look at the four-fold symmetry and how the lines go up and down. I like everything in this except the background. One more to try with strings.

Hi Lata,
Let me start posting comment from this kolam.. Thanks for your wishes and love (hearts are seen only to me??)
Straight lines have done magic..This is for my Maa kolam Practice session..
Thanks all for your comments.
Jayanthi and Vinci, I would like to try this simple design in padi/maa kolam too. I don't think it would take me as long as I took to make this in a 3D program. :)
Mohanaji, I've reused the background from the drum rangolis. In terms of the time at hand, my choices were either to make a dotted Clover kolam, or make a different background for the celtic one, and I ended up going for the first option.
Such a simple, neat one this is Lata - I am sure the beginners will enjoy this one :) Hmmm now let me think.... what colour was I wearing that day???? hmmm.... aaaa..... hmmmm... oh never mind - forget it - St. Patrick's Day was over long long ago :O
