Another girls' party going on here. Oops, not just girls, but krishnaji too. Colorful paisleys dancing around the girls. Yes, you do seem to have lot of ideas in not only rangolis, but other arts as well. I wonder if you are going for the Chennai meet. Your email has been passed on Judy, so please respond to those members when contacted. It would be really nice if you could demonstrate how to make double-stroked kolams (a small sample is enough). :) Enunga... please don't kill me with your silence any longer :)

Very good rangOli and a very great idea. I am immediately reminded of the fourth ashTapadi in gItagOviMda (see also my blog for the eighth ashtapadi). This is a song with the pallavi as haririha mugdha vadhU nikarE. This song was sung in 1956 for the movie tenAlirAmakRshNa by suSIla and the music was composed by viSvanAthan-rAmamUrti. This is one of the finest songs sung by suSIla in her entire career. This is called a bhramarapada. This has relevance to this rangOli. The gOpIs are surrounding kRshNA who is at the centre of the circle like above. gOpis are the flowers and at the centre of the flowers is the bee or butterfly. kRshNa is that bhramara. That is why this called a bhramarapada.
