Here is a picture of a dead seal. Something unusual for us to see in beaches. We saw this one last month, in our last trip to a local beach. It was another sign of the recession period, here in California, or for that matter, anywhere in US. The dead seal was not cleaned up on time, because the cleaners working on weekend shifts were let go (laid off from work), due to budget cuts. And, we the public, are reminded of the current state of the economy, wherever we go.
I've been holding on to this picture, debating in my mind, about how one might feel about seeing this picture here, in the cafe. But, to be honest, all of us come across some unpleasant, natural, as well as unnatural things in our lives. Right? So, why not share our thoughts about those things also? :)
Poor thing,, it is killed, and burnt.. See its legs tied. I feel helpless....... There is another snap of dolphins/seals getting killed by humans {inhumane] and the sea is turning red. I couldn't concentrate on anything for the next 2 days after seeing it.
I know what you mean Jayanthiji. Surprisingly, the younger kids playing close to that area (mine included), didn't mind it that much.
These days kids are more tough than us I think :)
