hi friends Enclosed the recepie for jackfruit payasam..which we tried few months bsck as pavan likes jackfruit very much.Anybody can share new recepies pls try to share with all of us. Here goes the the recepie for the jack fruit payasam jackfriut --- 25 pieces jaggery --- 1/2 kg cardamom powder --- little coconut --- 1/2 ghee ---100gms milk ---100m.l. PREPARARTION METHOD Fry the jackfriut duly cutting into small pieces in a vessel of some ghee.Then grind the grated coconut and the jaggery softly adding little water and pour into a vessel and keep it for boiling.Then add the fried pieces of jackfruit and boil for some time duly, and keep it down.Then add the milk and cardamom powder mixing well..

Look at the way Lakshmi is tempting us! Not fair Lakshmi, do you know Jackfruit is not easily available where I live. No wait, I think I have another way out; I'll get canned ones. As this months quota is maxed out for me, I'll use this recipe for September, and will definitely post how it turned out. Thanks for posting something you've tried. I would much rather try something posted by known friends vs something new from the internet. :)

Rice flour Payasam Boil 1 litre of milk till it condenses 3/4 th. Take 2 tablespoon of riceflour mix it with water or milk at room temperature now add this mixture to the boiling milk. Allow the rice flour to cook for sometime ,meanwhile add grated cashew and kismis .This takes about 5 minutes. Add enough sugar to your taste and remove from fire. Now add a few drops of rose essence to it,cool and refrigerate it.

WHEAT FLOUR LADDU RECIPE: Wheat Flour : 1 cup Jaggery : 3/4 cup Ghee : 1/2 cup Milk : 1tbsp Cardamom powder and dry fruits for garnishing Method : 1.Fry Wheat flour with 1tsp of ghee till the flour turns brown and aromatic. 2.Transfer the hot flour to a plate and add powdered jaggery, cardamom and remaining Ghee 3.Sprinkle the milk and mix. Make laddus and garnish with your favorite dry fruit.

Lakshmi, this brings back old memories for me. My mom used to make this often, and I used to be so impatient, that I wouldn't wait for her to finish making the laddoos. I would just scoop some of the mixed up flour and take it in a bowl, and get out of her visio! :)
