Madam HAPPY SRI KRISHNASHTAMI... the "UDIPI SRI KRISHNA" LOOKS SOOOOO CUTE...
Viji, nice card . Makkan ke chor ko kuch nahi hogaa.( This butter thief will not have any problem after eating these).
Viji, I visited Mannargudi Rajagopala Temple's annual utsavam on the 'vennai thazhi' day!
Krishna holding a big vessel and carried around the street in a palanquin, people throw butter from all around! it was a fun to watch! The day's functions are sponsored by the butter merchants around the town!
Is that a terracotta or a wooden Krishna Viji??
Judyji, its Udupi Krishna Temple deity, with BalaKrishna alankara...the main diety is stone, the external decorations are done using different materials, with silver/ panchaloha hastas and paadas. Every festival, Krishna adores a different look.
