You're chosen a nice design to make for this contest Rani. The bigger lamps on the outer edges have a nice shape to them. Strokes get spread easily when we draw on wet tar road. I can imagine how hard it must have been for you. But, I'm also glad you participated. It takes a lot of effort and dedication to do so. Hearty Congratulations! :love:

Wow...Excellent kolam rani...looks very unique. Yes it is very very tough to draw kolams on the tar road but still you have managed so well. Glad that you could make it to the contest. :party:
Thanks sowmi...ya i searched a lot in my collections for a new and simple kolam not done by me or anybody else....and to do a kolam with hot-instant comments from d viewers(both positive and negative) was something an experience to remember pa... :)
Waw! Rani, excellent kolam with 25 dots that too in a small space! As usual inspite of wet thaar road your drawing is very neat and clear, except in few places. First We all appreciate your enthu in participating. Definetely it is one of the best kolams in that competition.Ikolam is repredented by you there!
( The rain drop/ or Deepam sudar design is novel idea. Adds the beauty of this chikku kolam. Why one dot is blinking alone in the top? ;) )
Thank u rajamma mam....yes d space was another big issue...when d lady behind me comes to her top portion of her kolam here i shd be moving somewhere else so that we don't clash with each other...haha....and d last thing i didn't want was a mistake and that too happened without fail due to d tension....haha...

Haha...thanks suba...and i regret to this minute ...that was what we were doing na on saturday(ofcourse no negative comments at all from any of us)...talking a little bit loudly na while watching d participants doing their kolams...i think they would've also felt d same way like me....next time we shd keep this in mind and silently enjoy... :)
Wow, RAni congrats for participating and representing ikolam in Mylapur festival. Participation is the greatest prize and achievement coz we are not able to do that. Why no colours allowed in Mylapur festival? can you upload the prize winning kolam if possible.
Thanks a lot padma....yes no cols r allowed in mylapore kolam festival...its a rule followed for so many yrs and also it shd be a dotted kolam...about this yrs prize winning kolam...i don't have any idea...u can check in their official website(just type mylapore kolam festival-2012 in d google search)... :)
