Snehaji, how about using the darker "B" pencils? I remember using those 2B or even higher # pencils especially for outlining. Please give it a try, and upload one too. :)
The higher the number is, the softer the lead is. One can also try to use the black colour among the colour pencils. They are quite soft and write strikingly.

I am sorry, I messed up. May be still sleepy though woke up at 3:30 (of course latAjI does not sleep at all :-). The higher the H number is, the harder the pencil is. We have the HB pencil (hard and black) like the 2H here. The higher the B number is, the softer the pencil is and the blacker it is.

You are right mOhanaji, I see the 2H here everywhere, and that is why I miss 2B even more.
Even the (Indian) pink flowered Camlin pencils work darker than the 2H we get here.
Nowadays I don't have to give any early morning rides to anyone in our house due to summer vacation, so mom is not needed anymore in the mornings. :)
