Uma, in my in-laws place, they don't keep golu. But in my mother's place, we keep golu every year. As u said, Golu and Diwali are my favourite festivals than anything else. That too during the golu days, since I'm the last one in my house, my mom will send me to invite others for our golu. It will be so nice to visit other's place for seeing their golu and invite them for our golu and then taking the thamboolam from them (most important is sundal.... we know whose sundal will taste good.. ha ha ha). When I was in 12th standard, my mom purchased a new Kunkuma choppu in silver with golusu chalangai around it. It will give a good sound of chalangai when u carry it. From that year onwards, I demanded from my mother, if u want me to invite others for our golu, then i will carry that chalangai kunkuma choppu only, otherwise I'll not go. Ha hah ha.... Missing all these festivals galatta now. Mahalakshmi

thank u rani( if possible give it some beatings also,,, so that it obeys me far better,,,,,) maha,, nice to here ur kutti flashbacks,,,we keep golu in my moms place but nt in my in;laws place,,, but seeing my interest raja bought me everything in d 1st yr of my marriage itself,,, this is d 13th golu here,,, even my fil, sil all help me so much though they didnt have this practice,,, thank u rajusree
