Only your kolams is always given first preference, that is why so many old members never come to the ikolam site , they may not be having time and also mainly for this reason.
Splendid work.....................Hey Hey Hey........what is this I am not able to concentrate on any other things nor I am not able close this window........RAni what magic you have done??
today's filter coffee too for me.Rani, your kolam made me seeing this page again and again.very beautiful color combination.the centre yellow patch made the kolam more beautiful.
Thanks a lot friends for enjoying this kolam....@ rajushree..it is easy pa...u can put 9 dots-3 times and 3 dots-3 times and first draw d swastiks(maze) and then go on drawing d lines....@ sudha mam....thanks for representing d so called old members but i think lata will be able to give u an answer for ur accusation towards me....very sorry sudha mam...but ur accusations hurt me a lot...is it a sin to follow ur passion and share ur daily creations with ur friends...thats what i wanted to ask u....
Lata will be able to answer this better Sudha. As far as I know there is no first or second preferences for her. She has been lenient with everyone. Regarding old members, I cant talk for the other members but i have been a member of this site for the last 3 years and i open the site everyday to enjoy the beauties created by others regardless of whether i have uploaded a kolam or not. This is my opinion. Rani mam, I want to tell u I love all ur kolams dear and eagerly wait to see ur beautiful kolams everyday.
What a masterpiece in red and white! I enjoyed reading the explanation too regarding what Adi puram is about.
I can't help notice my name being mentioned in this page and I'm going to start off by saying that I don't understand what is going on here. :) I also accept full blame for not being able to keep up with the comments. I don't read all of the comments and I'm just not able to do so nowadays because of my work load. My sincere apologies for not being upto date.
Now, what's the matter? Could somebody please let me know the story? I've only read a few comments from this page, and I think some members are expecting me to explain something...not sure what this is about, and I wouldn't want to assume anything. :)
Alright, got to read the whole page and understood what is being said. :)
First of all, there is no preferential treatment given to members. Among rangolis/kolams, seasonal ones get uploaded sooner than the regular ones, and this has been done even since the site got launched. Regarding some of the old members not visiting; no one can expect anyone to visit any site on a permanent basis, and ikolam is no different.
Sudha, please, if you have any issues with the way we publish kolams, I suggest you take it up with me directly and privately, instead of showing it towards other members. Thanks. :)
This kolam is a wonderful one .. All the four side (same) design I used to draw joining them w/o the center design as a free hand one.2/3 pattern of this design is my favorite kolam from my schooldays. But ur center design is different For Last one week I am trying to draw your design w/o putting dots, but not coming properly because the distance/space I gave is not accurate to draw the center design. I am not able to understand ur dot pattern.I tried w/o dots. Can u explain little more about the dots or can u give a tutorial? It is my request to Ammuchandhini.
Bye--ananthiraju.
Thank u ananthi...hope this link will help u...if u aren't able to do this even after seeing this dot grid pl let me know...i shall give a step-by step pattern in paper and upload it in d cafe section for u... http://www.ikolam.com/node/23964
Thank u very much for ur immediate reply.Checked the link to ur.......node 23964 for dot grid explanation.Very ,very useful dot grid to draw this kolam. How I missed ur previous year Aadi pooram kolam? (node 23964.) The center kolam of urs in the link.....node23275 is the basic pattern for this. That one and one more joining 4 of the same I used to draw w/o dots only. Now I will try those also with dots grid. The dot grid helps a lot to maintain the distance accurately.Once again Thank u very much.
