Very palich and trendy kolam rajamma mam...i too think it is coloured coconut scrapings....also am surprised to see u use black col...coz i remember u saying u don't like to use black col for rangolies...

I call it 8 kolam as pairs of triangles arelinked to make the shape of 8! The material is either rice powder or salt!

rajammaji, superbbbb work, the material used I guess is salt(?), and Rani mam it is not black colour, I think it is dark purple colour.

It is coconut scrappings with liquid food color mixed to it. And ofcourse pista shells. It is fun using different materiels other than normal kolam powder. Thanks all for spending time in guessing and commenting. rajamma
