You've a lot of patience to make kolams this way mOhanaji. Using a needle (to make the cord loop through) might make this easier. A nice 3D version!

If the kOlam has to be rigid, one has to use a thick string. A needle would not be of
much help there. These are all 1/8 inch thick. Actually I thought over this for quite
some time and I know how to do this in the future. I have to go to some crafts shop
and get the materials. The continuous up and down movement has to be maintained.
By the way, at the top left, the beginning and the end are pasted together.
I am NOT a specialist in anything. I am like a child. One day one thing interests
me and another day, another one. Too much attention deficit syndrome :-) No focus
on any particular thing ;-)
